Aisling Makes The GenNOW Team!
The Generation Now Team for 2021
We are delighted to announce that Stylist Ailing from House Of Colour, has been recognised an outstanding talent and named as a member of The Generation Now Team for 2021. We couldn't be happier for her and everyone at House Of Colour is extremely proud of her achievement.
Wella wanted fresh young talent to form an all-star creative styling team. The GenNOW 2021 team is made up of four members who over the next 18 months will develop & hone their skills and perfect their craft with top hairdressing mentors. Starting with a boot camp Aisling and the team will learn in-depth about Wella brands and session styling.
Better yet, the team get a chance to represent Wella at industry shows and events, such as Hair Pro Live, Salon International, Fellowship, BRIT Awards, Hair UK NEC, Scottish Hair & Beauty and some of the Wella education sessions.
Despite a challenging year for the industry, Aisling is no stranger to awards having been named runner up in the prestigious Wella Trend Vision Awards earlier on in the year.
Delighted with her achievement Aisling says: I love being part of the hairdressing world and I'm thrilled to be on the GenNOW team for 2021 and for the opportunities I have in front of me. Although this year has been tough for the industry, I feel proud of how the wider hairdressing community and the team at HOC has come together. To gain recognition within the hairdressing industry for doing something I love is incredible.
In order to join the team, Aisling had to produce a creative cut & colour style as well as demonstrate a variety of skills that showcased her experience of dealing with different varieties of hair textures, inspiring styling skills & colour knowledge. Plus, show an understanding of the Wella brands. Applicants had to express their creativity and show off their personality by creating a 90 second video of themselves and answer questions on what they felt they could bring to the Generation NOW team.
